More about Laurie Dee

The word persistent could be used to define Laurie Dee Whitman. She's lived her life, never giving up on her dreams. Her first dream was to work in Television. To accomplish this Laurie Dee graduated from Grahm Jr. College with a degree in Television Production.

After a decade of immersing herself in the broadcasting industry, including positions at many of the top New England TV stations, she turned her attention to the film industry. Laurie Dee began by volunteering at the Maine Film Office, where she landed her first break as a location manager on the movie "Stephen King's Graveyard Shift." She knew the movie industry was where she wanted to be from her first day on the set!

Laurie Dee had many opportunities to work on both coasts, working in various departments, including but not limited to production assistant, transportation coordinator, wardrobe, and set dressing. Laurie Dee also brought her experience into the classroom first, teaching television production at the University of Southern Maine and later, at the International Academy of Film & Television in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she taught film production.

Today Laurie Dee wants to help make your dreams come true by guiding you through the business of film production and bringing your story to life. Over the years, Laurie Dee learned that if you want to succeed at getting the job you desire, you must put yourself in the right place and be persistent!
